Sharing is WHO WE ARE...

tq to

Happy birthday Mr Kennedy

1951 - Ray Kennedy was born in Seaton Delavel. After five successful years as a forward with Arsenal, Bob Paisley converted him into a left-sided midfielder following his arrival for £180,000 as Bill Shankly's last signing in July 1974. He won five League titles, three European Cups, the UEFA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, League Cup and three FA Charity Shields in his eight years at Anfield, striking 72 times in 393 reds games. He is now battling against Parkinson's disease.

Robbie arrives

2008 - Robbie Keane signed from Tottenham Hotspur for £19.3m. He struck seven times in 28 reds outings before returning to north London for an initial £15m fee the following February. He has so far grabbed fourteen goals in 39 games in his second spell with Spurs, joining Celtic on loan for the second half of last season. On the same day, ex-red El-Hadji Diouf joined Sunderland from Bolton Wanderers for £2.5m, after a total of 24 goals in 136 games for the Trotters.

Razor sheathed

1992 - Ray Houghton was sold to Aston Villa for £900,000 as Graeme Souness tried to reduce the number of non-Englishmen in the squad, to comply with UEFA regulations for European competition. He had netted 38 times in 202 reds games, helping us to claim two League titles, two FA Cups and the FA Charity Shield.

Rafa's first capture

2004 - Josemi signed from Málaga for £2m, becoming new boss Rafael Benítez's first signing. He made just 35 reds appearances at right-back before joining Villarreal in exchange for Jan Kromkamp in January 2006.

Four for Fagan

1945 - Willie Fagan scored four times, including two penalties, as we thumped an RAF XI 7-0 in Germany shortly after the end of hostilities. Legendary forward Billy Liddell bagged a brace, with Jack Balmer completing the scoring.

Fernando the champion

2002 - Future red Fernando Torres bagged the only goal of the Final of the European Championships for Spain Under-19's as they beat their German counterparts in Oslo.

New boys off the mark

1997 - New signing Øyvind Leonhardsen and young winger Mark Kennedy both scored their first reds goals in a 6-0 rout of Shelbourne in Dublin, each netting twice. Danny Murphy also struck his first reds goal, with Steve McManaman adding the other.

Merseyside honours even

1996 - We were held to a goalless draw at Goodison Park in the third place play-off of a friendly tournament also featuring Borussia Mönchengladbach and Porto, to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Sir John Moores CBE.

Scandinavian reds

1987 - Steve Nicol was on target as we drew 1-1 with Danish side Brønshøj at the Ringsted Stadion.

1991 - We were held to a goalless draw at Sirius in Sweden.

Cleaned out by Ajax

2001 - We lost our closing fixture in the pre-season Amsterdam Tournament, going down 3-1 to Ajax. Jari Litmanen featured against his old side, while Robbie Fowler was on the scoresheet.

Other pre-season games

1971 - Chris Lawler netted from long range as we beat Wrexham 1-0 in a testimonial game for Arfon Griffiths at the Racecourse Ground.

1993 - Ian Rush scored as we drew 1-1 at Birmingham City in the T.N.T. Inter-City Challenge Cup. We lost the resulting penalty shoot-out 4-3.

2007 - A Liverpool XI was held to a 1-1 friendly draw at Colchester United, with Miki Roque volleying our goal.

South coast moves

2009 - Peter Crouch joined Tottenham Hotspur from Portsmouth. He had struck sixteen times in 49 outings in this second spell with Pompey.

2006 - David Thompson signed for Portsmouth, having been released by Wigan Athletic at the end of the previous season. He featured just fifteen times for Pompey before moving to Bolton Wanderers the following January.

Tosh for Charlie

1969 - Future red John Toshack played for Wales as they lost 1-0 to a Rest Of UK side at Ninian Park, in a game played to mark the investiture of the Prince of Wales, and raise funds for the Aberfan Disaster Fund.

Youngsters in action

2009 - Conor Coady and Andre Wisdom both played for England Under-17's as they drew 1-1 with Denmark in the Nordic Tournament in Trondheim.

Ged in charge

Lucas at last

On the move again

1987 - Future reds loanee keeper Alec Chamberlain joined Everton from Ipswich Town for £80,000.

2005 - Ex-reserves midfielder Neil Prince signed for Conference North outfit Stalybridge Celtic three years ago, after impressing on a trial. He left in May 2007 after seventeen strikes in 84 appearances.

Menarik bunyi dia.

Beraksikan beliau...kita tungguuuuuu...

Quote of the day
My message to Liverpool fans is I will give everything all the time, every day. I don’t want to come up here and end up going back south every day off

After failing personal term with Fiorentina, is he will stay with us?

For me he is a good player with an attacking style where I can see benefit to us when playing with a team with a non-aggreasive winger. He still young and have a great future in Liverpool and national Argentina team as well.

Insua fails to agree personal terms with Fiorentina

Tuesday, 27th July 2010 · Share on Facebook

Argentine defender Emiliano Insua has failed to agree personal terms with Fiorentina, according to sources in Italy.

The Italian side had reached an agreement with Liverpool for the sale of the left-back over a week back, with only personal terms left to agree.

Insua continued to train at Melwood while his agent negotiated with Fiorentina, who finished 11th in the Serie A last season.

However, Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino has now revealed that they are finding it hard to match Insua’s wages at Liverpool.

“We have already reached an agreement with Liverpool but we are yet to reach an agreement with Insua’s agent on his wages,” he is quoted as saying.

“We cannot guarantee him the wages that he is currently getting at Liverpool.”

Negotiations are still ongoing between Insua’s representatives and Fiorentina – with a move looking more and more unlikely after Insua is believed to have asked for wages in excess of £40,000/week.

Kita mesti pileyyyy..

sharing who we are...

In comes Deano

1991 - Dean Saunders signed from Derby County for £2.9m as a replacement for Peter Beardsley. He scored 25 goals in 61 appearances as the reds won the FA Cup, before being moved on to Aston Villa in September 1992.

We always win in Wales
2005 - We beat Total Network Solutions 3-0 at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground in the second leg of our Champions League qualifier, to reach the second qualifying round 6-0 on aggregate. Dietmar Hamann had a penalty saved, with Steven Gerrard coming off the bench to add a late brace to Djibril Cissé's first-half goal. Anthony Le Tallec made his 32nd and final reds appearance in this game.

Bon anniversaire
1981 - Grégory Vignal was born in Montpellier. The young French left-back failed to establish himself at Anfield, spending much of his time out on loan at Bastia, Stade Rennais and R.C.D. Espanyol. He signed for Portsmouth in July 2005 after being released from Anfield following just fourteen starts and six substitute appearances. However, he has since continued his nomadic career.

1926 - Inside-forward Kevin Baron was born in Preston. The Anfield favourite signed from his hometown side in August 1945 and made 153 reds appearances, including the 1950 FA Cup Final, nabbing 32 goals. He moved on to Southend United in May 1954.

Les gems for the first time
2003 - Anthony Le Tallec and Florent Sinama-Pongolle both played their first reds games as we drew 1-1 with Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road, with Michael Owen on target. The game was a testimonial match for Crewe's Steve Macauley and Shaun Smith, held over from the season before.

Diarra's day
2002 - We won 1-0 in Le Havre as we kicked off our pre-season schedule. Debutant Alou Diarra, who was soon to join Le Havre AC on loan, enjoyed the rare distinction of returning to the pitch after having been substituted, as a replacement for Vegard Heggem, so making his only reds appearance. New signings Bruno Cheyrou and El-Hadji Diouf both appeared in a red shirt for the first time, while Anthony Le Tallec and Florent Sinama-Pongolle both featured for the French side.

2009 - We lost a friendly 1-0 to SK Rapid Wien in the Ernst-Happel Stadion in Vienna.

In the far east
2001 - We beat the Thailand national side 3-1 in Bangkok to claim the Coca-Cola Super Cup in the Rajamangala National Stadium. Michael Owen struck twice, with Nick Barmby netting the other.

International beginnings
1976 - Future red Avi Cohen played his first senior game for his country as Israel were held to a goalless draw by Guatemala in the Olympics in Toronto.
2003 - Future red Daniel Agger made his debut for Denmark Under-20's, netting his only goal at this level as they beat Wales 2-0 in a NI Milk Cup game in Northern Ireland.

Yossi to England
2005 - Yossi Benayoun signed for West Ham United from Real Racing Club de Santander for £2.5m. He struck eight times in 72 games for the Hammers, and featured for the losing side in the 2006 FA Cup Final.

Out goes Devlin
1928 - Forward Tom Devlin was sold to Swindon Town for £250, having failed to make our first-team. His brother, centre-forward William, was at Anfield at the same time as him.

Trigger on the move again
2004 - Ex-red Jason McAteer signed for Tranmere Rovers. He bagged five goals in ninety games for the Prenton Park outfit, as well as taking on coaching duties.

Calum departs
2006 - Reserves full-back Calum Woods signed for Dunfermline Athletic, having failed to make the break-through at Anfield. He has so far struck seven goals in 116 games for the Pars, often at centre-back.

Partridge stars
1999 - Richie Partridge starred for the Republic of Ireland Under-18's in their 1-0 defeat of Spain in the European Championship Finals in Sweden, winning the penalty from which the Irish scored.

1998 - He was on target in the same competition in Ireland's 5-2 defeat of Croatia in Ayia Napia.

Emiliano on the world stage
2007 - Emiliano Insúa played for Argentina Under-20's in Toronto as they beat Chile 3-0 to reach the World Championships Final.

Grég sees red
2000 - Grégory Vignal was sent off as France Under-18's beat a Czech Republic side that included future red Milan Baroš 1-0 in a European Championship Finals game in Donauwörth.

Stanley heads off again
1999 - Stan Collymore joined Fulham on loan from Aston Villa. He scored just once in nine appearances for the Cottagers before returning to Villa Park. He was then moved on to Leicester City on a free transfer a few months later, at a loss to Villa of £7m.

Rizzo on the move
2000 - Ex-reserves winger Nicky Rizzo signed for Italian side Ternana from Crystal Palace for £100,000. He stayed there for two seasons before moving on to Lecce.

Emiliano Insua will leave Liverpool FC and leaving the slot to a new player. Who is he???

Roy has highlight htat position is the priority in his term to build a strong team after Fabio Aurelio also has leaving us due to contract expriry.

Mine, very keen on Taye Taiwo, Marseille left back & Danijel Pranjic Bayern Munich left defensive midfielder...

Walaupun tewas diperlawanan akhir, Dirk tetap gembira...

Well Done Dirky...terbang pulang ker Melwood, we need your World Cup high class performance this new season...

Lucas Leiva has been thrown an Anfield lifeline after Roy Hodgson assured him he still had a future at Liverpool.
The Brazilian midfielder's days at the club appeared numbered after Palermo confirmed they had made a £3million bid and indicated a willingness to increase it.

just my two cents...

Waaaa...ramai dah nak mai dah ni...senyap-senyap kita dah merembat 5 orang baru...tetapi bukan player daaa..5 orang ni terdiri dari Physio dan Doctor yang bakal mengisi ruang dalam backroom staff Liverpool.. Harap lepas ni kurang ler injured yang berpanjangan.

Liverpool's Sports Science and Sports Medicine department has been strengthened with the arrival of new backroom staff.
Two physiotherapists from the Australian 'Socceroo' national team, Darren Burgess and Phil Coles, have joined newly appointed Head of Sports Medicine and Science Dr Peter Brukner at Melwood.

Confirm la dia stay...tgk ler scarf tu...YNWA El Nino...

YNWA Kuyt, Babel, Torres & Pepe, you make we proud....

Print prit prittttttttttttttttttttttttttttt...

Esok FINAL dah...tidoooooooooooo...dah pukul 4.30 am Malaysiaaaaa

Piala Dunia 2010 hampir melabuh tirainya.

dah macam gaya artis pulak aku tengok...

MILAN JOVANOVIC has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with Liverpool.
The Serbia international has finally completed his switch from Standard Liege and says he is now looking forward to linking up with his new teammates on the pre-season tour of Switzerland.
Jovanovic arrives at Anfield on a Bosman transfer after his contract with Liege expired on July 1st.

July 08, 2010

Seperti ku jangka, dia akan pergi selepas habis World Cup. Hanya ketidakupayaan kelab-kelab diluar sana menepati harga dia je bakal menyekat dia pergi meninggalkan Anfield.

Penjaga Gol : Vincent Enyeama (Nigeria)
Biar dia main 3 game jer, tp pada aku mamat ni memang superb. Reflection dia sunnguh pantas.

Pertahanan Tengah : John Mensah (Ghana)

Pertahanan Tengah : Markus Tulio Tanaka (Jepun)
Libero.

Pertahanan Kanan : Maicon (Brazil)

Pertahanan Kiri : Fabio Coentrao (Portugal)

Tengah : Nicolas Lodeiro (Uruguay)

Tengah : Keisuke Honda (Jepun)

Penyerang Tengah : Lionel Messi (Argentina)

Penyerang Tengah : Diego Forlan (Uruguay)
Hebat sememangnya permainan beliau semakin hebat dipenghujung karier.

Penyerang : Luis Fabiano (Brazil)

Bryan Ruiz (FC Twente)
The 24 year old Costa Rican FC Twente hitman continues to grab column space in the media after being linked with a £13m transfer to the club. Ruiz, currently being mentored by Steve McClaren in the Dutch Eredivisie has to date hit 24 goals in 34 appearances for the club since his arrival from Gent in 2009, including a 4minute hat-trick. The player has also returned 9 goals from 33 caps at International level to date.
Steven Taylor (Newcastle Utd)
The former England U21 captain and centre half has apparently become disillusioned with the lack of ambition being shown by the Newcastle management to improving the squad that arrived back in the Premier League after winning last season’s Championship. It is not the first time that the young defender has been linked with the club, back in 2007 he was cited in many areas as the replacement Liverpool had in mind for Sami Hyypia. A player that made good progress through the England ranks from U16 level but one that has also been credited with lacking a yard of pace.
Maynor Figueroa (Wigan Athletic)
Speculation continues to rise that Roy Hodgson will use the money gained from Chelsea from the sale of Yossi Benayoun to bring the £6m rated Honduran to Anfield as his first choice left back. Emiliano Insua is presently the only recognised established left back at the club afer Fabio Aurelio rejected a new contract at the end of the season and left the club but his own future remains in doubt as Fiorentina are believed to continue to circle for the signature of the £3.7m rated young Argentinian.
Julio Baptista (Roma)
The former Arsenal man, known as “The Beast” and also for once scoring four goals against the club is reportedly an interest of Roy Hodgson. The Brazil international has been frozen out at Roma after his move from Real Madrid two years ago. The player has notched 13 goals in 42 outings for the Italians and is also believed to be a primary target of Olympiacos.
Dalam 4 4 orang tu takde sorang pun dalam wish list aku..hampeh sungguh...anyway..YNWA Roy..aku sentiasa support as long mereka LIVERPUDIAN

Tahniah Kuyt, Babel Torres,'s awesome

SPAIN vs NETHERLANDS - awal pagi Isnin...siapa pilihan anda.

Penjaring - Carles Puyol
Man of the Match - Xavi Hernandez

Berapa lama mau tunggu dah...mata dah mengantuk..tapi demi bola ku sanggup tunggu..

Prediction aku Belanda menang 3-1 hampir-hampir mengena.

Bagus ler nak mencari yang boy pulak ler tu nak mewarisi bakat ayah dia.

Ni aku attached keratan dari OK! Magazine..

ALEX Gerrard has exclusively revealed she and hubby Steven Gerrard will try for another baby soon.
OK! columnist Alex Gerrard has opened up about her marriage to England footballer Steven Gerrard, saying the pair are planning to try for a baby in September.

The mother-of-two revealed to us: "I'm happy with my two girls; they're at a lovely age and are loads of fun...

"Although I think Steven my like a boy at some point in the future."

She went on: "Lexie starts school in September so that means the house will be quiet, so you never know, we may start trying then!"

July 05, 2010

Prediction aku : URUGUAY 1 - NETHERLAND 3

"CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich has flown to South Africa to try to secure the signing of Fernando Torres for a British-record of £50m.
The extraordinary fee still falls short of Liverpool's £70m valuation of their prize asset in what is set to be a summer of turmoil at Anfield. Javier Mascherano is also understood to be adamant that he wants to leave and Steven Gerrard is still attracting very strong interest from Real Madrid."

Headline yang sakit hati bila membacanya. In your wet dream Abra...Torres will stay with Liverpool.

Hahahahaha.

Tajuk utama kat Official Liverpool Club sekarang ni.

"Right now I am waiting to see what my future is because I don't know what will happen now Benitez has left. I am happy at Liverpool but I would be very excited to play in Spain," he said in The People.

  • Date of Birth: 09.08.1947
  • Birthplace: Croydon, London, England
  • Nationality: English
  • Playing Career: Crystal Palace, Gravesend and Northfleet, Maidstone United, Berea Park (South Africa)
  • Managerial Career: Fulham, Finland National Team, Viking FK Norway, UAE National Team, Udinese, F.C. Copenhagen, Grasshoppers Club Zurich, Internazionale Milano, Blackburn Rovers, Internazionale Milano, Switzerland National Team, Neuchâtel Xamax, Malmö FF, Örebro SK, Bristol City, Halmstads BK
Roy Hodgson began his managerial career at the age of 28 in 1976 at Halmstad. In his first year he did what most people thought was impossible, led them to the league title. Roy Hodgson spoke to Fulhamweb about his time there:

“I was recommended to Halmstads by my close friend Bob Houghton. On the first day of the season, 20 newspapers said Halmstads would go down. We won the championship in style.”
“I’d qualified for my full coaching badge at 23 but that was my first season coaching adults. Halmstads had played a very different type of football to what I wanted, man-to-man across the field, with a libero. From the start it was: ‘Okay, you lads know nothing, this is what we’re going to do’. I remember the turning point. I was thinking about it reading of the suicide of Robert Enke.”
“We had mixed results pre-season, understandably, because we were changing to a back four, attempting to push up and pressure the ball and were getting caught out. For the players, the jury was out, but we beat Hannover 96 – Enke’s team – 4-0, and it was unheard of for Swedes to beat Germans. Then, the players believed in me. For years I wore a Hannover 96 pin in my jacket.”
Hodgson spent a successful five years at Halmstads winning two league Championships in 1976 and 1979.
In 1980 he returned to England to Bristol City where he became assistant manager to Bob Houghton for two years and later became manager. However, Hodgson only managed 20 games, winning only three of them. He made an inauspicious start to his English managerial career, Bristol City were in deep financial trouble and Hodgson was sacked after a short stint with Bristol City.
In 1983 Hodgson moved back to Sweden to manage Oerebro SK in the second tier of Swedish football. But in two seasons he didn’t manage to take them to the first tier. Two years later, Hodgson took over at Malmo where he led them to 5 consecutive League Championships, two Swedish Championships and two Swedish Cups. Hodgson speaking to fulhamweb describes his time at Malmo

“Five successive titles with Malmo were an achievement. It’s never easy to do it every year, even if your players are better, because people lose appetite. The Swedes always talk about the self-playing piano, and with that team I definitely got to the stage of the self-playing piano. Not a lot needed to be said or done.”
After four successful years at Malmo, Hodgson then moved to Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax in 1990, the highlight of his time in Switzerland namely the victories over Celtic and Real Madrid.
Hodgson then moved to International management when he agreed to become manager of Switzerlands National Team on 26 January 1992. Hodgson took Switzerland to a highly successful 1994 World Cup, losing only one game during qualification, from a group that included Italy and Portugal. At the 1994 World Cup, the Swiss finished runners-up in their group, qualifying for the Round of 16 where they lost to Spain. Hodgson then led Switzerland to Euro 1996 but left immediately after they had qualified to join Inter Milan… After a terrible start to the season, Hodgson guided Inter to a 7th place finish during the 1995–96 season, qualifying for the UEFA Cup.
Hodgson then guided Inter to 3rd during the 1996/97 season and reached the 1997 UEFA Cup Final, losing on penalties over two legs to Schalke 04.

Hodgson’s first crack at the Premier League came later that year, when he took over at Blackburn, but things did not go according to plan at Ewood Park – despite finishing the season in 6th position and qualifying for Europe, he was sacked in December 1998 following disatrious signings and injuries to key players. Hodgson’s main signings struggled, with Martin Dahlin and £7.5 million striker Kevin Davies failing to contribute goals.

In 1999, he had a brief second stint as caretaker at Inter Milan before returning to Switzerland to coach Grasshopper for a season.

Later that year, he managed the Danish team Copenhagen to a win in their Superliga in the season 2000-01. Udinese offered him a swift return to Serie A for the 2001-2 season, but Hodgson was sacked after just six months.

Stints with Udinese, the United Arab Emirates, Viking Stavanger and Finland followed before Fulham turned to him in December 2007.

Fulham had recorded only two wins in 20 games during the first half of the 2007/08 season and resided at the foot of the Premier League table. Hodgson immediately set about reviving the fortunes of the South West London club, drafting in several new players during the January transfer window and re-branding the Club’s style of play during his intensive daily training sessions at Motspur Park. Hodgson successfully led an incredible battle to avoid the drop with an impressive haul of 12 points from their final five games of the season kept Fulham from relegation.

His time at Craven Cottage went from strength to strength and he enhanced his reputation while transforming Fulham’s fortunes, guiding them to their highest Premier League finish and an appearance in the Europa League final. In May 2010 Hodgson was voted manager of the year by the League Managers Association in recognition of his sterling work at Craven Cottage

Wowww...sudah memcecah semi final World Cup tahun ini.

Hehehe..

Finally Liverpool officially announce his new manager named Roy Hodgson. This travellers manager is known as former Fulham manager who bring them to final Europa League 2009/10 where they lost to Atletico Madrid in the final action.

Now he have a tough test to keep all the star player in the Anfield and reported have made a private meeting with Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher about several issue. He also strongly pleads to Gerrard to stay with Liverpool and help him to rebuild Liverpool team.

“It is easy to say the right things but you know as well as I do it is not words Stevie wants – he wants actions,” Hodgson said.
“He wants to see the club make strides forward, he wants to see that alongside players of his quality there will be other players of that quality being signed by the club.
“And, of course, he is wise enough to know that I cannot give him that guarantee and he wouldn’t respect me if I was trying to give him some line of bull---- that he would see through.
"My job is to try to explain to him that I have come to Liverpool because I want to work with people like Steven Gerrard. I’m hoping he will have enough loyalty to the club and will be interested to work with me and give it some time together.”

Three things to do
1. Keep Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres. Losing either of the club’s icons would immediately push the new manager on to the back foot.
2. Add squad depth. A chronic lack of depth was brutally exposed last season.
3. Hope for a quick sale. The sooner Liverpool are in new hands, the better for everyone at Anfield.

Before accepted Liverpool job, Roy promised Fulham owner Mohamed Fayed that he will not buy any of his former kids. Nice and hope he can do his job and keep Liverpool back in top 4 in next season.

After few days break, World Cup 10 back into action. Quarterfinal match this term will start with BRAZIL vs HOLLAND at 10.00 Malaysian time. Hope my prediction to see Holland beat Brazil to secure Semi FInal place.

But today I want to share about my all time favourite Argentina's team for this World Cup. They will face Germany in the Quarter Final and match is schedule at 10.00 pm Malaysia time on Saturday nite. Not even miss every single match of Argentina's on this WC10, I can see they are a very strong contender to become a world cup champion for this year.

On the last match versus Mexico, I can see Argentina game on the second half was so bad for this time tournament. And I can hope they can maintained their momentum for 90 minute to keep the game on their feet.

Probably starting line-up for quarter final match is

GK - Sergio Romero
LB - Gabriel Heinze
RB - Nicolas Otamendi
CB - Nicolas Burdisso
CB - Martin Demichelis
DM - Javier Mascherano
RW - Maxi Rodriguez
LW - Angel Di Maria
FW - Carlos Tevez
FW - Lionel Messi
FW - Gonzalo Higuain

And it was so nice to see Little Messi get his 1st World CUp goal and bring Argentina to Semi Final.

Liverpool have confirmed that Roy Hodgson is their new manager after agreeing a compensation deal with Fulham.

Hodgson, 62, has signed a three-year contract at Anfield and will be officially unveiled to the media at a press conference on Thursday, having overseen the first day of pre-season training at Melwood.

The former Inter Milan and Switzerland boss had been heavily linked with the post since Rafael Benitez left the club for Inter last month and Liverpool finally got their man after agreeing a deal with the Cottagers for Hodgson to be released.

Hodgson impressed at Fulham last season - guiding the Cottagers to the Europa League final - and was voted Manager of the Year by the League Managers' Association for his efforts.

"This is the biggest job in club football and I'm honoured to be taking on the role of manager of Britain's most successful football club," Hodgson told Liverpool's official website.

"I look forward to meeting the players and the supporters and getting down to work at Melwood."

Hodgson is likely to be joined at Anfield by his trusted assistant Mike Kelly, although Sammy Lee - brought in by Benitez because of his coaching credentials and links to the club's successful past - is expected to be given a role somewhere in the new set-up.

In a bid to stave off any future interest from England, it is reported that there has been no get-out clause included in Hodgson's contract should the national team job become available.

LIVERPOOL OH LIVERPOOL...You'll Never Walk Alone

Hari ni aku nak cerita pasal LIVERPOOL, team bola idola aku.

You'll Never Walk Alone...
